Andy Murray and Marion Bartoli captured Wimbledon crowns in convincing fashion.
Bartoli never lost a set in the Wimbledon fortnight, playing a two fisted brand of aggressive tennis reminiscent of Monica Seles
While Andy Murray, now with two Grand Slams under his belt, will soon make a compelling case to be the number one player in the world
lets wait and see how the ATP and WTA standings will shift with thse wins
Andy Murray beats Djokovic
so, after so many years, a British has won Wimbledon open in the name of Andy Murray.lemme say, I did not see it coming. personally, though Murray is among the best tennis players in the world, I have never liked his game and most of the time I have always thought "he just happens to be there" but with this win, i will say thumbs up, beating Djokovic is not an easy task and you did it in a cool manner. I won't dispute you and may be, I should just learn to love the way you play. though I can't be able to describe your game, I just have to admit that, may be you have perfected your style and from today, I will force myself to love it.

Sabine Lisicki surprises Serena Williams at Wimbledon
No one saw it coming, may be after the exit of Sharapova, Federrer,Nadal; some other big superstar in the world tennis was facing an early exit. Serena Williams just after winning Roland Garros came into Wimbledon open, favorite and spirits up. However, her opponent in the 4th round match 23r seeded German Sabine Lisicki had other ideas when going to the tournament and especially to the game against world no.1 Serena Williams.
she worked her way out, very few unforced errors, perfect forehands and backhands and nice volleys to seethe Gallant American fighter Serena Williams out of the Wimbledon open though it was not that easy though.
she won the match 2-1 in the scores of 6-2, 1-6, 6-4. winning against Serena Williams who had a 19run unbeaten set matches dating back from the london olympics and a 34 match winning streak. When asked of her opinion about the game, Williams said “She plays really good on grass,” Williams said afterward. “She has a massive, massive serve. So going in there you have to know that it’s definitely not going to be an easy match playing her at Wimbledon, especially on Centre Court. So it should not be a surprise. every game has got its surprises, all everybody needs is to work harder.
lets watch how far Sabine Lisicki goes in the tournament. I wish her all the best. for Williams, just go, rest a bit and work hard. Its not over until you decide its over
Wimbledon surprises
this year Wimbledon 2013 open has offered many surprises and many complains from star players of tennis both men and ladies. bad weather, has been a major challenge to most players with star players such as Russian Maria Sharapova complaining the ground was slippery and poor, attributing it to her early exit from one of the major tennis grand slams. the tournament has also seen the exit of star players such as Roger Federer whom many love his game and adore hi, in the world of tennis and many other star players.
however, as expected, the tournament will seem some stars eliminated, some old guards remaining and may be and I say maybe some new players emerging. it would be nice to have an unknown player winning Wimbledon player. please, let it not be Djkovic or Murray or even Serena Williams.
